Threats by the inspector-general of Police, Mohammed Adamu to arrest Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Igboho over his alleged involvement in the violence that took place in Oyo State, received serious knocks from the Middle Belt Forum on Sunday.

The organisation also supported the quit notice handed by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State on Fulani terrorists to leave the forest reserves in the state.

The MBF specifically warned the Federal Government against any action that would escalate the ongoing tension as demonstrated by the arrest order on Igboho.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that the presidency reacted to the order by the Oyo state government to the police to arrest Igboho.

Igboho, famed for participating actively in the Modakeke-Ife war, recently gave a quit notice to herdsmen occupying the Ibarapa area of the state.

After several warnings by the Governor Seyi Makinde-led government, an arrest warrant has been issued for the warlord and his followers.

Earlier, Igboho dared the government of Oyo state to arrest him following his “leave” order to Fulani herders in Igangan community.

Igboho on Friday, January 22, stormed the town in Ibarapa East local government area of Oyo state after the expiration his seven-day ultimatum to the Fulani herders mandating them to vacate the community.

Legit.ng recalled that the secessionist had a week ago visited the community to issue quit notice to herdsmen residents in the area after accusing them of perpetrating criminal activities.

He was reportedly said to have insisted that Seriki, a popular herder, must leave the town, saying so many people fingered him to be behind the insecurity in the area.
