Another day and another wave of hate leveled at 2K’s basketball sim NBA 2K20.
Since launch last week, user-generated reviews on Steam have systematically torn the game to shreds, lambasting 2K for shipping a ‘broken’ and buggy gambling simulator with only occasional snippets of basketball.
NBA 2K20 – ‘Overwhelmingly Negative’
And players don’t look like they’re slowing down in their efforts to express their frustration. NBA 2K20 now has an ‘Overwhelmingly Negative’ score based on 1,808 reviews. A measly 16% of them are positive, and most of these are trolling 2K.
This review had some damning words for NBA 2K20;
Game is just a copy of NBA 2K19. Down to the task bar icon still saying NBA 2K19 for the newest version. My career story line is un-creative & over dramatized, ultimately it ISN’T the players choice. Game is monetized to the millionth degree. Unless you buy Virtual Currency in the game you get destroyed. Game is built to bleed real life money from online players instead of offering a pleasurable experience to a single player campaign or story line.
While this player is struggling to get NBA 2K20 to even work and makes an unflattering comparison with disaster prone EA;
Multiple crashes, constantly not recognizing controller, an hour played and maybe 6 minutes of gameplay, this game is ♥♥♥♥, the playability is ♥♥♥♥, im so dissapointed, I’m not even playing a game…. its worse than EA… Worse sports game ive ever played
Seeing The Funny Side
Luckily, a few NBA 2K20 players are there to inject a much-needed dose of humor;
I bought this game to gamble all my real hard-earned money away, and what do I find? Some basketball. What great mind at EA [sic] decided to put basketball in my gambling game? Outrageous, will not buy again. 0/10.
