Steve King trolls Gillibrand after she drops out of 2020 race

Rep. Steve King told Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand that she had fulfilled his prophecy after she announced she was dropping out of the 2020 Democratic presidential race.

“@SenGillibrand Kirsten, My prophesy came to fruition sooner than even I expected. Maybe you have learned the lesson Jesus taught, ‘Judge not, lest ye be judged,'” King said Thursday, referencing a prediction he made earlier in the month that she would not become president.

Gillibrand, 52, told the Iowa Republican to resign earlier this month after King said there would not be any population left without the rape and incest throughout history.

King responded, misspelling the senators name, “Kiersten: Odds of my resigning are the same as yours of winning the nomination for POTUS: ZERO. BTW, the DMR & AP have corrected the erroneous story you linked. You’re Pro-Abortion & Pro-PBA & Pro-Infanticide & believe ProLifers are the moral equivalent of racists & antiSemites.”

The New York Democrat dropped out of the Democratic presidential primary Wednesday after failing to qualify for the fall debates.

“It’s important to know when it’s not your time, and to know how you can best serve your community and country,” Gillibrand said in a video. “I believe I can best serve by helping to unite us to beat Donald Trump in 2020.”

Gillibrand struggled to gain traction for her presidential bid, in part because party insiders and donors were frustrated with her role in ousting Al Franken from his Senate seat.

Today, I am ending my campaign for president.

I am so proud of this team and all we’ve accomplished. But I think it’s important to know how you can best serve.

To our supporters: Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Now, let’s go beat Donald Trump and win back the Senate. pic.twitter.com/xM5NGfgFGT
