The head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has confirmed Victor Osimhen will miss their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone in Freetown on Tuesday.

Osimhen dislocated his shoulder in the first game between the two countries on Friday.

The Napoli striker scored one of the goals in a dramatic 4-4 draw but was later substituted after falling awkwardly in the second half.

Although he has since been discharged from hospital, Rohr says he will not be available for the reverse fixture in Sierra Leone.

“He is out of the match after he dislocated his shoulder,” Rohr said.

However, the German is confident both Samuel Chukwueze and Leon Balogun will be fit for the game.

“Balogun was replaced after he got injured, he did not train today but he will be okay, while Chukwueze has a little pain around the groin, but we hope to have him back,” he added.
