That’s all for today, goodbye!

Madrid end a run of three games without a win in the league and move up to third in the table. They’ve got the Madrid derby next time out in the league, but before that is a big game against Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League. Sevilla stay in fifth, losing their second game in the bounce in all competitions. They’re also in action in the Champions League this week, facing Rennes on Tuesday.

Madrid win their first league game since October with a 1-0 win over Sevilla. It was a fairly even half, with the biggest chance falling to Madrid when Bounou’s clearance was closed down by Vinicius, but Carlos cleared it off the line. The visitors took the lead through a Bounou own goal when Vinicius’ shot deflected in off him. Sevilla came close a few times, but couldn’t find the back of the net.

90′ + 3′ FULL-TIME: SEVILLA 0-1 REAL MADRID.

90′ + 1′ There’s a lot of space for Sevilla on the left as they try to find a late equaliser, but they overplay the ball. They’re passing it around on the edge of the box and Varane steps across Torres to intercept it.

Vinícius Júnior

Yellow Card

Real Madrid

89′ Vinicius is booked after he catches Navas with a late tackle from behind.

88′ Sevilla are asking for a penalty after Fernando goes down under pressure from Vazquez just in front of the goal line. He was trying to get on the end of Suso’s cross when there’s a coming together. There isn’t anything in it though and the referee waves the claims away.

86′ GOOD SAVE! Sevilla whip another corner into the box and it goes through to Ocampos at the far post. He goes for the overhead kick and Courtois gets down quickly to push it away from the bottom corner.

84′ It’s a brilliant run from Vinicius after he gets played in following a Sevilla corner and he drives towards the box from his own half. He takes a heavy touch just as he reaches the penalty area though and Kounde comes away with it.

82′ Sevilla are still trying to push for an equaliser, but Madrid are keeping them penned back in their own half at the moment. Idrissi does manage to slip a throughball into Torres, but he’s stopped by Casemiro.

Sevilla

80′ Final change for Sevilla now and it’s Idrissi that’s coming on for Carlos.

80′ CLOSE! Suso dribbles past two Madrid defenders as he cuts inside from the right to get in on goal. He curls an effort towards the far top corner, but it curls just wide of the target.

78′ Vinicius’ low cross into the near post from the right is cleared by Sevilla but only as far as Modric on the edge of the box. He plays a throughball forward, looking for Benzema, but he can’t get in front of Carlos to reach it.

Sevilla

76′ Kroos turns away from Gudelj with the ball and the substitute is booked after he catches him from behind.

75′ CLOSE! Gudelj stands over the free-kick for Sevilla and he curls it over the wall and is trying to pick out the near bottom corner. Courtois is diving across his line, but the shot bounces into the side netting.

74′ Ocampos does really well to latch onto the loose ball and lay it off to Torres. Casemiro comes in late on him in his attempt to win it and he gives away a free-kick just outside the box.

72′ Bounou is the first goalkeeper to score an own goal in LaLiga this season and the first Sevilla goalkeeper to score an own goal in the competition in the 21st century.

70′ Sevilla are dominating possession again at the moment, but it’s all in front of Madrid. Torres is trying to make something happen for them down the left, but he can’t find a way past Asensio.

68′ Madrid don’t clear their line properly when Suso whips a free-kick into the box and it’s flicked onto Gudelj at the far post. He’s forced wide by Nacho, but the flag goes up against him before he can put another cross into the middle.

Real Madrid

66′ First change for Madrid now and Rodrygo is going off, with Asensio on for him.

Sevilla

64′ And Rakitic is making way, with En-Nesyri replacing him.

Sevilla

64′ De Jong is also being taking off, with Suso on for him.

Sevilla

64′ Triple change for Sevilla now and it’s Jordan coming off first for Gudelj.

62′ It looks like Rodrygo has the better of Vidal, but the defender recovers to block the space and he’s forced to go back. He has Vazquez with him in support and he wins a free-kick, but it comes to nothing for Madrid.

Real Madrid

60′ Modric picks up a yellow card after catching Fernando with a late challenge.

59′ It’s a good run from Rakitic down the left and he squares the ball across the edge of the box towards Jordan. There’s not enough on it though which allows Varane to come out and intercept it.

57′ Sevilla look shaky in defence as Madrid push forward again and Mendy is finding more room to run into down the left. He cuts into the box and takes the ball to the byline before he’s shown out of play by Kounde.

Sevilla

55′ MADRID LEAD! Another quick Madrid counter catches out Sevilla and Mendy squares the ball into the box. Vinicius makes the run to the near post and touches the ball on and it deflects off Bounou, who came off his line, and into the back of the net. 1-0 Madrid!

54′ It’s end-to-end at the moment as both sides break quickly when they win back the ball, but there’s no end product. A heavy touch takes it away from Benzema for Madrid, while at the other end, Nacho makes a good tackle to stop Jordan’s run.

52′ GOOD CHANCE! It’s well worked by Sevilla and Ocampos swings a great cross into the box. De Jong goes for the overhead kick in the middle, but it’s straight down the middle at Courtois who makes the save.

50′ Madrid just can’t get out of their own half at the moment as Sevilla close them down high up the field. It’s a sloppy pass from Kroos on the left and the hosts are on the attack again.

48′ Sevilla have made a bright start to the second half and are putting Madrid under some early pressure. Ocampos whips a good cross into the box from the right, but De Jong loses his balance and he can’t get a shot away.

46′ Madrid get us back underway for the second half!

Sevilla

46′ There’s a change for Sevilla at the break as Torres comes on for El Haddadi due to the injury he picked up right at the end of the first half.

Sevilla didn’t trouble Courtois in the first half and Lopetegui will want to see more of an attacking threat from his side when they come back out. As for Madrid, Zidane can take positives out of their performance, but he’ll want them to be much more clinical in the second half.

It’s goalless at the break between Sevilla and Real Madrid. The visitors had the better chances in the game and the first came after Bounou was closed down and the deflection off Vinicius sent the ball looping towards goal, only for Carlos to clear it on the line. Kroos curled an effort just wide while Benzema saw a low shot pushed away by the keeper.

45′ + 2′ HALF-TIME: SEVILLA 0-0 REAL MADRID.

45′ + 1′ El Haddadi has stayed down holding his hamstring after he chased Rodrygo’s run down the left. It takes him a while to get back to his feet and he might not make it back out for the second half if it’s serious.

Real Madrid

44′ Kroos picks up the first yellow card of the game after stepping across Ocampos to stop his run.

42′ Sevilla have their first corner of the game and it’s whipped into the near post. It gets the slightest flick on by Fernando, but Courtois is covering it and holds onto the ball.

40′ Madrid are trying to play out from the back as they look to attack again, but a loose pass from Varane plays Casemiro into trouble. He ends up catching Jordan late and Sevilla have the ball again.

38′ GOOD SAVE! Rodrygo lets the ball run through to Benzema on the edge of the box and he curls a low shot towards the far corner. It’s close to sneaking in, but Bounou gets down quickly to push it away.

37′ Madrid have been struggling to get on the ball in the last few minutes, with Sevilla continuing to dominate possession. They still can’t find a way in behind the visitors though.

35′ Sevilla go long this time as Fernando plays a long ball over the top looking for Ocampos’ run into the box. He brings it down with a good first touch just before the offside flag goes up against him.

33′ Navas swings a great cross into the box and it’s flicked on by Kounde in the middle. He ends up picking out De Jong at the far post but he can’t get his feet sorted out in time to get a shot away.

31′ El Haddadi picks up the ball on the left, but he doesn’t have many options in the box. Madrid have almost all of their players sitting back in the final third and the winger can’t find space to put a cross in.

29′ Rodrygo pulls away from Navas on the left and he has space to run into as Kroos tries to pick him out with a throughball. He ends up putting it straight out of play though and Sevilla win a throw-in.

27′ Navas pushes forward down the right and he swings an early cross into the box for De Jong in between the two Madrid defenders. It’s poor from him though and Nacho gets back to clear it at the near post.

25′ Yet another quick break by Madrid, with Modric leading this one through the middle. He spots Vinicius’ run down the left of the box and plays him in with a throughball, but he can’t reach it under pressure from Kounde.

23′ Madrid are trying to push forward, but Sevilla are making things difficult for them with their high press. It’s forcing the visitors to move it around quicker and they’re giving it away with sloppy passes.

21′ GOOD CHANCE! Kroos finds himself in a pocket of space just outside the box and he tries to curl a shot towards the top-right corner. Bounou is beaten, but his effort is just wide of the target.

19′ Sevilla are still seeing a lot of the ball in midfield, but aren’t causing Madrid’s defence any problems. It’s patient play from the home side, but they can’t find a way in behind Madrid yet.

17′ Sevilla have only lost one of their last 15 home LaLiga games (W9 D5), 0-1 v Eibar in October. They’ve kept a clean sheet in seven of their last 10 at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan in the competition.

15′ Mendy makes a driving run down the left, but it’s cut out by Ocampos. Kroos swings a free-kick into the far post and Benzema tries to square it back into the middle of the box, but it’s straight to Fernando.

13′ It’s another quick break from Madrid down the right and nobody closes down Rodrygo. He whips a cross into the near post, but none of his team-mates have made the run so Bounou comes off his line to collect it.

11′ Sevilla are keeping Madrid penned in their own half at the moment, but they’re struggling to get in behind the home side. Ocampos tries to float a cross into El Haddadi, but it’s intercepted by Nacho.

9′ Madrid break quickly on the counter after Rodyrgo wins the ball back on the halfway line and he tries to slip in Benzema. He overhits the throughball though and Vidal gets across to clear the danger.

7′ Ocampos makes a brilliant run down the right and weaves away from three Madrid players to get to the edge of the box. He touches it onto De Jong and is asking for the rebound, but Sevilla lose the ball.

5′ Bounou is closed down by Vinicius close to his own goal and his deflection sends the ball looping up towards the far post. Benzema’s chasing it down but Carlos is in the right place to head it off the line. Sevilla get away with one there!

3′ Sevilla are seeing a lot of the ball at the moment, but they’re struggling to get in behind Madrid. Carlos plays a long ball over the top towards De Jong, but he’s beaten to it by Varane.

1′ CLOSE! Madrid have made a quick start to the game with Vazquez making a good run down the right. He picks out Vinicius at the near post but his shot across goal is just wide of the target from a tight angle.

1′ De Jong gets the game underway for Sevilla!

The teams are coming out onto the pitch now, with kick-off just moments away.

Madrid are winless in their last three league games (D1 L2) – they’ve never failed to win four consecutive matches in LaLiga under Zidane.

Zidane makes just two changes to his team after their loss to Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday. Casemiro and Vinicius are brought in, while Asensio and Odegaard start on the bench.

Lopetegui makes three changes to the side that beat Huesca last weekend. Bounou is named in goal, with Vidal and Rakitic also coming in. Rekik and Torres drop to the bench.

REAL MADRID SUBS: Marcelo, Andriy Lunin, Alvaro Odriozola, Sergio Arribas, Marco Asensio, Isco, Eder Militao, Martin Odegaard, Diego Altube.

REAL MADRID STARTING XI (4-3-3): Thibaut Courtois; Lucas Vazquez, Raphael Varane, Nacho, Ferland Mendy; Luka Modric, Casemiro, Toni Kroos; Rodrygo, Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior.

SEVILLA SUBS: Oussama Idrissi, Oscar Rodriguez, Karim Rekik, Javi Diaz, Sergi Gomez, Oliver Torres, Franco Vazquez, Suso, Nemanja Gudelj, Alfonso Pastor, Carlos Fernandez, Youssef En-Nesyri.

Madrid have struggled for results recently and questions are starting to be asked of Zinedine Zidane as his side are without a win in the league since the end of October. They’ve won just one of their previous five outings in all competitions (D1 L3), losing the last two. They face their former manager, Julen Lopetegui, whose side have lost just one of their last six (W5), though that loss was in their most recent match against Chelsea in the Champions League.
