Sampdoria are on the verge of securing Zenit St Petersburg winger Emiliano Rigoni on loan with obligation to buy for €12m.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, ANSA and other sources, Zenit have given the all-clear to the move once they have found a suitable replacement.
It’ll be €1m for the one-season loan, with obligation to purchase for another €11m once Rigoni has made 10 appearances for the Blucerchiati.
This represents a return to Serie A for Argentina international Rigoni, who had six months on loan with Atalanta last season, returning to Russia during the January window.
Rigoni made 12 appearances for Atalanta, scoring three goals, including a brace in the 3-3 draw with Roma.
