Rotary Club remodels Peace Park

In line with its vision and mission to improve the environment and the society, Rotary Club of Nigeria District 9110 recently refurbished and remodelled the Rotary District 9110 Peace Park.

The newly renovated park was commissioned by the District Governor, Roth Bola Oyebade on Friday, July 31, 2020.


The Project was jointly sponsored by the Rotary Club of Canal Estate and Rotary Club of Anthony Golden.

The elated District Governor described the project as highly commendable adding that it has restored and enhanced the aesthetic beauty of the District Office. He then enjoined Rotarians to start using the park for relaxation and fellowship during office hours at no cost.

The supervising officer and chairman, Planet Earth Committee, Jeililu Efedi, while speaking at the ceremony said the club was consistent with the renewed global efforts targeted at stemming the catastrophic tides of climate change.


He added that the tree planting exercise was in line with the International Tree Planting Day 2020 and its slogan- Supporting the Environment.

“Rotary club across the world are expected to plant trees, gardens and beautify parks creatively manage wastes, and supports the coastal regions among others”, Efedi said.

Present to witness the commissioning of the renovated Peace Park was Rtn. Ozurmba Onyiye Maureen; Opportunity President RC Canal Estate, Rtn Gabriel Aye; Vice President RC Anthony Golden, Rtn. Vivian IPP and Rtn. Alhaji Umaru DGSR.
