Roma move for Rugani?

Roma could move for Daniele Rugani or Lucas Verissimo if they fail with one last attempt for Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma consultant Franco Baldini will try one final time for Alderweireld.

However, Tottenham are standing by their €28m valuation of the Belgian, who made it clear he was ‘totally focused’ on his club.

With that in mind, the newspaper claims Rugani is back on the Giallorossi’s radar, although Juventus consider the 24-year-old to be worth €30m.

If a deal cannot be agreed, the Lupi would also be looking at Verissimo.

Sporting director Gianluca Petrachi tried to take the Santos stopper to Torino, while he is more affordable at €8-9m.
