Nigerian singer Olamide has praised Mo’Hits record for the lessons they taught upcoming artistes in the music industry.

Mo’Hits Records was founded in 2006 by Don Jazzy and co-owned by D’banj, who was the first recording artist. The label went on to sign other artists but a few years later, the founding artsites like D’banj and Wande Coal left the group.

However, the Nigerian music industry has not forgotten the impact of the record label many years later.

Taking to the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter, Olamide stated that Mo’Hits is still one of the best things to ever happen to the Nigerian music industry.

According to the Science Student crooner, they gave Nigerians good music and how to carry others along. Olamide went ahead to state that even if the group never came back, he has Don Jazzy and D’banj, alongside the rest of the team, to thank for motivating people like him.

The past few days have put the Nigerian music industry in the news after singer Cynthia Morgan made allegations against her former label which is owned by Jude Okoye.

The matter had people from inside and outside the industry sharing their opinions about the matter.

In other news, Legit.ng earlier reported that rapper Olamide signed a contract with the international record label Empire.

The rapper joined the league of music stars with international record deals. The ‘local rapper’ as he is sometimes called joined Empire record label and shared photos from the contract signing on his Instagram page. In the caption of the photos shared, Olamide said that it is time for his YBNL mafia family to shake the world. Olamide revealed on Twitter that YBNL and Empire got a joint venture deal and that it would positively impact him and any other artiste he signs including Fireboy.
