Quake hits Taiwan

(Bioreports) —  

A 6.6-magnitude earthquake struck the southeastern part of Taiwan late Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The quake – about 28 miles south-southwest of Hualian, Taiwan – was 9.3 kilometers deep, the survey said.

There were no immediate reports of damage.
