PPB: One person injured in officer-involved shooting in NE Portland – KPTV.com

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) – The Portland Police Bureau said an officer-involved shooting investigation is underway in the Lloyd Neighborhood Thursday evening.

PPB said it responded to the 500 block of Northeast Holladay Street. An adult white male who was shot was taken to the hospital by ambulance. No officers were hurt.

Police said there is no threat to the community.

PPB said Northeast Holladay Street and Northeast Grand Avenue are currently blocked for the investigation.

Around 10:30 p.m. Portland Police Chief Chuck Lovell released this statement via Twitter:

Then around 11:00 p.m. PPB tweeted about a crowd forming at the officer involved shooting scene. Police say some threw objects, an officer’s baton was grabbed by someone and when another officer intervened, the officer was sprayed with a chemical.
