Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has urged the police command and other security agencies to ensure that the killers of Dr. Karl Kwaghger, an associate professor of Engineering, are arrested.
The governor’s order followed a development that two suspects had been arrested while attempting to sell the deceased’s car in Karu, Nassarawa State, near Abuja.
Ortom, in a statement through his media aide, Terver Akase, condemned the gruesome murder, which occurred in Makurdi last Saturday.
He described it as unacceptable.
The governor called for investigation into the incident and reaffirmed the resolve of his administration to sustain the fight against crime.
He consoled the bereaved family and assured them that the culprits would be brought to justice.
