Alexis Sanchez is officially a new Inter player, on a one-season loan from Manchester United, after completing his medical.
The Chile international flew in on Wednesday and went straight to the CONI headquarters for a battery of tests.
There are multiple reports Inter agreed to pay €5m of his salary during the loan season, leaving the rest of the €12m wage bill to Manchester United.
It was originally meant to be a loan with option to buy at the end of the season for €15m, but the continuing delays concerned Inter directors and they preferred to get a loan deal done.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, his agent also agreed a two-year contract from 2020-22, although it has not been signed.
This is a return to Italy for 30-year-old Sanchez, who first joined Udinese in 2007 and moved to Barcelona for €26m in the summer of 2011.
There were 20 Serie A goals and 16 assists during his 95 matches in the Italian league.
He went on to Arsenal, then Manchester United for €34m in January 2018, but struggled to settle in at Old Trafford.
Sanchez is therefore reunited with former Old Trafford teammate and good friend Romelu Lukaku, who already scored on his Serie A debut, a 4-0 victory over Lecce.
