Nigeria clocked 60 on Thursday, October 1, and Nigerians have taken to various social media platforms to celebrate the country’s new age.
As usual, Nigerian celebrities also took to their social media pages to mark the day. While some only congratulated the country, others had something to say.

The actress urged Nigerians to focus on the positive things about the country amidst the chaos and thank God for many other things.

The media personality declared love for Nigeria despite getting on her nerves sometimes.

The BBNaija star said that no nation is perfect and it can be made perfect by its citizens
4. Adesua Etomi
The actress stated that Nigerians are the real heroes.
5. Betty Irabor
The media personality stated that Nigeria is not the country of her dreams.
6. Wathoni
The BBNaija star urged Nigerians to be the change that they want to see. She also urged them to appreciate where Nigeria currently is while hoping that it would get better someday.

The BBNaija star prayed for the country, prophesying that things would get better.
In other news, Legit.ng earlier reported that Nollywood actor Yul Edochie said people are not happy about the current state of the country.
The actor said he cannot congratulate anyone on that. He said he cannot wish anyone happy independence when people are not happy, wondering what Nigerians are celebrating.
He noted some of the challenges the country is currently facing which include killings, employment, and the current hike in fuel price and electricity.
The actor urged Nigerians to speak the truth and admit that the people are suffering. Nigerians took to the comment section of the post to share their thoughts.
