1. The Federal Government on Monday said schools are allowed to reopen amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

2. The Federal Government has lifted the ban on interstate movement with effect from July 1. 3. The Federal Government has approved the safe resumption of domestic flights across the country nationwide in the next phase of the gradual easing of lockdown ordered to curb further spread of COVID-19. The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Boss Mustapha, who disclosed this on Monday during the daily media chat of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in Abuja, said the new order takes effect from July 1.
4. A prominent Gombe indigene, Babayo Gidado, is dead.
Gidado, 79, served as Chief of Staff to former Governor, Danjuma Goje.
5. President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Aliyu Abubakar Musa, as his Chief Personal Security Officer (CPSO).
DCP Musa, from Nigerian Police Force Zone 5, Benin City, as his last station, hailed from Niger State.
6. A Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed a certificate forgery case filed against Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State. At the mention of the case at the Federal High Court on Monday, neither the plaintiffs nor their lawyers appeared in court and Justice Anwuli Chiekere, given the development, struck out the suit.
7. Nigeria on Monday, recorded a total of five hundred and sixty-six cases of coronavirus infection were recorded. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, while announcing the figure on Monday night, said Lagos State recorded 166 cases, while Oyo State followed with 66 cases.
8. Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has ordered all employees in the Government House to go for COVID-19 tests.Wike said the ongoing increased testing for coronavirus in the state was part of his government’s commitment to save more lives.
9. The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has ordered the Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, Bolaji Salami, to restore the security details of the state’s Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, with immediate effect. The IGP’s directive was contained in a memo addressed to the Police Commissioner through the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Operations, Force Headquarters Abuja.
10. The Iranian government on Monday issued a warrant of arrest for the United States, US, President, Donald Trump. It also asked the International Police to help detain Trump for ordering the drone attack that killed a top Iranian general in Baghdad.
