Popular Nigerian dancer, Kafayat Oluwatoyin Shafau, popularly known by her stage name Kaffy, has been thrown into mourning following the death of her mum.
The celebrity dancer took to picture-sharing app, Instagram to share the sad news of her passing on May 25, 2020. According to her post, her mother was 82.
The heartbroken mother of two shared an old video of her mum dancing and wrote: “Mama has gone to Rest! #82”

She also shared another video of both of them at a gym with her showing her mum how to do some dance steps.

Dancer Kaffy spent the early part of her childhood in London. Her family moved back to Nigeria and her parents separated when she was 12 years old.
Kaffy’s mother became a single parent struggling to care for Kaffy and her siblings. Her personal struggles led the singer to seek empowerment through fitness training and sports at the National Stadium in Lagos.
Kaffy later started making a living as a fitness instructor and began dancing when she decided to infuse the element of fun into her training sessions.
In other news, Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko was been thrown into mourning as her father recently passed away. She recently took to her Instagram page to share the tragic news.
The heartbroken lady in her tribute message recounted how close she was with him. She described him as a loving man who supported her when she expressed interest in starting an acting career.
Etiko who expressed how heartbroken she is by his departure stated that her heart can never be mended, as her father who loved her more than anything in the world left with a part of her soul.
