At Kwadaso in the Ashanti Region, well-known Ghanaian actress Nana Ama McBrown gave her blind classmate from junior secondary school (JSS) a sizable freezer and an unspecified sum of money.In order to keep him from being expelled, she also paid his rent for the previous two years in advance.

When Nana Ama McBrown witnessed a blind JSS student walking with the assistance of his kids, she was unable to hold back her tears.
Nana Ama McBrown told the media at the enrollment of 1700 people into the National Health Insurance Scheme that
“I realized that someone was struggling in the crowd just to see me so I decided to go to him and I realized that he is my primary and JSS classmate who is now blind”
“I encouraged him not to give up in life though his situation is difficult I know with God all things are possible. I know that the little that I have done for him will help him and his family” she said.
“He told me his landlords are demanding 2 years advance from him and he doesn’t know where he is going to get Ghc4000 to pay his landlord but to save him overthinking, I will pay the 2 years advance for him”
