A woman has taken to social media to thank the doctor who helped her give birth after a complicated pregnancy. The lady gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.

Siyanda Ndiki‎ shared her story on the #ImStaying Facebook group. She shared how she was rushed to Stutterheim Hospital at 28 weeks after having suffered pregnancy complications. She met Dr Madondo as the hospital and the kind doctor reassured her that they would save her baby.

“She put me on steroids in case of premature delivery she gave all the necessary medica*tion and I was sent to another hospital in Mdantsane for more tests,” she said.

She was then discharged. At 37 weeks she fell ill again and struggled to walk. She was admitted in hospital where they discovered that the baby had an abnormal heart rate.

“They worked like lightening, even though I was so scared they gave me hope,” she added.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that a woman did what seems like the impossible – she gave birth and then kept walking for over 100km with her newborn.

The new mother was travelling with her husband and their children. The family moved out of their town because it was under lockdown and they had no means to make money there. The woman from India travelled 160km with her husband and a total of four children.
