Luc Basque told CBC News that someone called the airport to make the threat, and airport officials subsequently called the police and evacuated the airport.According to Basque, no bomb, suspicious package or object was found; RCMP traced the call and determined it was a real call but a fake threat, Basque added. Airport spokesperson Julie Pondant told CBC News that evacuations began shortly before 7:00 pm AT, with RCMP officers arriving shortly after. She said at least two flights were redirected to other airports. The airport tweeted at around 9:00 p.m. that “all is clear.” UPDATE: All is clearand we have returned to normal operations.
