The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, Kaduna State chapter, has noted that the recent killings of the District Head of Gidan Zaki in Atyap Chiefdom, Mr. Haruna Kuye and his son Destiny Kuye in Zangon Kataf local government area of Kaduna state is attempt by saboteurs to alter the peace and reconciliation processes been carried in Southern Kaduna.
The association, therefore, condemned the killings in strong terms and called on security agencies to step up measures to ensure the perpetrators are brought to book.
Alhaji Haruna Usman Tugga, Chairman of MACBAN, in a condolence message, said that they received the news of the recent attacks and killings of the District Head of Gidan Zaki in Atyap Kingdom, Mr. Haruna Kuye and his son Destiny Kuye in Zangon Kataf Local Government area of Kaduna State.
The statement said, “These attacks are condemnable to all and the killings in Southern Kaduna is a clear sabotage to the peace and reconciliation processes been carried out by some good people of Southern Kaduna and their friends.
“We are hereby extending our condolences to the families of the victims and pray for repose of the deceased souls and pray for quick recovery to those who sustained injuries.”
MACBAN appealed to the security agencies in the state to fasten efforts in rescuing those that were kidnapped during the attacks as well as flush out those criminals in the state.
It expressed delight with the prompt action taken by the Kaduna state government in collaboration with the security outfits in the state which led to rescuing of some of the kidnapped people along Kaduna-Abuja expressway.
They also appealed to our members to be calm and exercise self restriction and allow the law to take its course.
It expressed support to all the peace and reconciliation efforts towards restoring lasting peace and tranquility in Southern Kaduna and the state as a whole.
