Atletico Madrid have called up Angel Correa for their preseason tour of the US, despite the forward being reportedly close to Milan.
Milan are about to sell Andre Silva to Monaco for €30m and were expected to use that money on Correa, who is understood to have agreed personal terms with the Rossoneri.
However, it was confirmed on Monday morning that the 24-year-old would travel to the States with the Atleti squad for the International Champions Cup.
The significance of his inclusion now remains to be seen, withs Silva having already left the Diavolo’s training camp in Boston.
On the other hand, former Milan and Fiorentina striker Nikola Kalinic has been omitted.
