The Democratic Republic of Congo is one of the countries in the world blessed with abundant mineral resources but despite this reality, the country has been enmeshed in poverty and war.

According to Africa Facts Zone, Congo has the most mineral resources in the world. The country’s raw minerals are worth $24 trillion.

In a report by the World Bank, Congo’s poverty rate as at 2018 was 72%. This means 72% of the population was living in extreme poverty on less than $1.90 a day.

Some of the mineral resources you will find in Congo include copper, diamonds, gold, cobalt, uranium, coltan and oil.

@FineJoeYoung believes Africans deserves what they are going through for not being united.
