Our mission? To democratise security and make the internet a safer place for everyone.

By reinventing the way we secure web applications, Sqreen makes security simple and accessible. We build modern, effective, and reliable security tools that automate application protection, threat detection, and security monitoring.

But we don’t stop there.

We believe that the key to a more secure future lies in closing the gap between developers and security teams, and in sharing information with our peers in the developer community. That’s why Sqreen is an active participant in meet ups, conferences and even open sources projects. Sounds unusual for a security vendor? That’s because it is.

Our values

At Sqreen, together is better. Our team is made up of talented people who, individually, are some of the best in their field. But that wouldn’t get us very far without our dedication to collaboration, continuous learning and humility.

Good security is hard, but customers come to us because we understand how to make it simple. We’re always working to eliminate unnecessary complexity in our product, documentation, and processes.

Creating a new category requires making big bets. We challenge each other daily to be bold and learn from each decision so we can deliver the best security product on the market.

Meet the Sqreeners

Pierre Betouin
Co-founder, CEO

Pierre spent 9 years at Apple, where he led the team in charge of security assessments for the Internet Services department, hacking products and designing protection. Pierre holds 23 US patents.
Jb Aviat
Co-founder, CTO

Jean-Baptiste Aviat spent half a decade hunting vulnerabilities at Apple, helping developers solve them, and developing security software. Jean-Baptiste holds 2 US patents.
Arnaud Breton
Head of Product

Arnaud is passionate about the impact of new technologies. With a passion for software development since his childhood, he is now capitalizing on it to build Product that are solving fundamental problems. Sport and traveling the world are amongst the things he loves to do outside of the office.
Constant Dacbert
Business Developer

Constant helped several tech companies before joining Sqreen. He’s an electronic music lover. You’ll probably meet him at an electronic festival soon!
Colin Mulcahy
Product Specialist

Colin joins the Sqreen team after growing his sales career at Rainforest QA. Outside of the office, he loves sports and playing music with friends, especially the blues – and can occasionally be heard waking up the neighbors with his Stratocaster!
Beth Lebeau
Director of engineering

Beth joins Sqreen from the US, where she led product and SRE teams at some of the world’s largest companies. She brings 20+ years of technical experience solving problems on numerous platforms. A former competitive curler, she competed in multiple national championships.
Mariam Dennawi
Product specialist

Mariam joined the sales team at Sqreen not too long ago after deciding the chef life wasn’t the one for her. She cooks food, she bakes cakes, and she slangs security on her day to day. You can find her yelping her favorite restaurants at all of her favorite coffee shops in the beautiful Bay Area.
Jānis Kiršteins
Software engineer

Jānis enjoys gin, a good book, and creating things – either with a piano, or with a computer. He used to run a security startup in Latvia and his advice to you would be to finally enable 2FA!
Nate Uphus
Account executive

For over eight years, Nate has had the opportunity to help companies accelerate growth through technology. He joined Sqreen to influence how people’s sensitive data was protected. He is a self-proclaimed cheese connoisseur and father to a golden doodle, Penny Lane.
Lucas Masson
Customer Solutions Engineer

Graduated from HEC Paris, Lucas previously worked at Rocket Internet and VC firms. His mission is to help Sqreen’s users get robust applications with no pain. Be careful if you meet him on the squash court, you may get hurt!
Paul Bleicher
Web Developer

Paul helped build several startups across Europe before joining Sqreen. He speaks five languages and enjoys mixed martial arts in his free time.
Romain Didry
Product Designer

Romain transforms complex data into clean and digestible interfaces. When he doesn’t solve problems, he enjoys making beats with his piano and his computer.
Tyler Hayden
Product specialist

Tyler’s mission is to connect businesses to technologies that enable their success. Paradoxically, he’s often found on the Embarcadero of San Francisco ranting about the impending AI-driven apocalypse. On downtime, he enjoys good food and playing basketball.
Charles de Beauchesne
Software engineer

Charles spent ten years in the financial industry developing high-frequency trading automations. As part of the Green Team, Charles makes Sqreen products antifragile. On his free time, when he does not contribute to open source projects, he climbs mountains in every possible way.
Stéphane Gourichon
Software engineer

Stéphane loves making the most difficult things work simply. His experience ranges from low-level (C, embedded systems, driving hardware) to high-level (server and desktop applications, graphical user interface, C# and others) working for small and big companies. A proud father, Stéphane also loves photography and skydiving.
Cédric Tessier
Security engineer

Cédric is a security engineer, dedicated to the dark arts (reverse engineering, vulnerability research and black metal). He previously worked in the Apple Red Team (offensive security) and as a researcher at Quarkslab. Cédric brings his experience in offensive security at Sqreen. Warning: addicted to noisy music and avid traveler.
Fx Costanzo
UI Developer

François-Xavier is passionate about user experience, web design, and animation. FX is developing responsive interfaces for the web. He also loves optimization, accessibility, and stormtroopers!
Mark Iem
Product specialist

Mark joined Sqreen after realizing Sqreen’s potential to solve the many security problems companies face. Before joining Sqreen, he worked at email SaaS companies. Mark is originally from Portland, Oregon, and he enjoys politics, podcasts, and rain!
Jim Hunnewell
VP of Global Sales

Jim has 17+ years of sales experience and during this time he has come to love the “art and science” of how sales works. Mostly, his passion is around building positive culture where the group and company can thrive.

Software engineer

Loic has worked on industrial systems in C and web development all across the stack as an architect, ops, and up to a sprinkle of UX and design. Security and reliability make his heart beat and he’s also passionate about open-source projects, skateboard and guitar.

Matt has spent 10+ years in technology sales roles. Most recently, Matt worked at Chartio and Lever working with their Enterprise customers.

“Gustavo is a software engineer with a broad skillset: from low-level (C, to debugging, instrumentation, security), to Java middleware, web frontend (vue.js) and configuration management. He worked several years on the PHP engine.

Software engineer

Émile-Hugo is software engineer specialized in low level security with broad technical interests and a knack for learning about new complex systems, technological or otherwise. He splits his free time between ridiculous Factorio bases and weird open source projects.

Before joining Sqreen, Selim was working as a cybersecurity specialist on Prelude SIEM. Selim is graduated from Supelec, France. In his spare time, when he is not busy playing DDR, he likes working on his own implementation of the game!

The legend states he started using a computer when he was 4. He is now a passionate software engineer working mostly in Java.
Maurice Svay
Frontend engineer

Maurice likes to build Web apps that are easy to use. After years working as UX Designer, he’s now building them as a frontend developer. When he’s not working, he enjoys riding his e-scooter in Paris and eating good food.
Aurélie Lafleur

Aurelie joined Sqreen to support the day-to-day operations of the San Francisco office. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the world, cooking and reading non-fiction books.

An INSEAD grad, Josh joined Sqreen to help build the content and marketing engine. When not working, you may find him with some combination of beer, burrito, or pen in hand.
Benoit Larroque
Sqreener SWE #1

Benoit built several startup products from scratch in the past. He is a Rails guru and when he is not shaping Sqreen, Benoit teaches NoSQL technologies at Ecole Centrale de Paris.
Drew Feldman
Product specialist

Drew Joined Sqreen to help others succeed in their goals of enhancing their security posture. While he’s not at work, you’ll typically find him sporting bright orange San Francisco Giants gear and exercising in a variety of ways! If you bump into Drew downtown, ask him where the best place to grab a bite to eat is!
Fanette Plessis
Head of Demand Generation

Baking utm cookies and pie-charts for the past 15 years, Fanette helps grow Demand Generation. She defines herself as a “full stack marketer” and is pretty passionated when it comes to security in the marketing stack. Outside of marketing Fanette is a Burgundy wines expert, a comic books and video games enthusiast and a swimming addict.
Yasmìn Yousef Conde
Corporate Operations France

Yasmin is in charge of Operations in the Paris office. She handles various fields from HR to Finance or Legal, ensuring the day-to-day needs of Sqreeners. When not, she loves to practice yoga or climbing!
Nicolas Vivet
Software engineer

Nicolas is passionate about building secure software. He has a wide area of expertise ranging from system programming to web development but also Internet protocols and cryptography. He also likes to spend his evenings discovering the Parisian concert halls.
Max Hédouin
Software engineer

Max spent 8 years in San Francisco working as a software engineer specialized in data processing. Sqreen brought him back to Paris to take on a new challenge in his homeland. When he’s not exploring a new country or playing sports, you might find him trying to sit still for a meditation session.

Frontend Engineer

Thibaud is a JS and UX addict. He loves building interfaces in react, dig into new tech, and he is also a (non) serious Thai boxing fighter.

Julio is a software engineer worshiping the gods of ring 0 after having spent many years in embedded systems and operating-systems R&D. In his spare time, he cooks French king cakes for the team, gets lost on French rivers doing kayaking, or watches all seasons of LOST (again).

Vladimir loves movies, books and traveling. He also happens to be a software engineer with a passion for security and experience working as a cyber-security consultant.

Australian-born but Parisian at heart, Alison joined Sqreen to help scale the team across Paris and San Francisco. Previously Alison helped establish high-performing People practices in some of France’s most promising tech startups. She also has a soft spot for all things DDoS… and the dark net.
