Inter hero Marco Materazzi responded to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s story by thanking the Swede, “without you we would never have won!”
Ibrahimovic told GQ about the time he sent Materazzi to hospital after holding grudges for four years, because of an ugly challenge in 2006. Now, the former Inter defender replied with a sarcastic comment to the Swedish star.
He posted a photo of the treble winning team from 2009-10, with captain Javier Zanetti holding the Champions League trophy, the one trophy eluding Zlatan during his otherwise illustrious career.
“I came… I saw… I conquered…,” Materazzi started in Zlatan-style. “Always and in any case, THANK YOU, Ibrahimovic. Without you we would never have WON.”
Ibrahimovic moved to Barcelona the summer before Inter won the treble, in a swap-deal including Samuel Eto’o, of course tagged by Materazzi in the post.
