The Duke of Sussex Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are parents for the second time. The couple gave birth to a daughter named Lilibet Diana.
The disclosure was made in a statement by the press secretary to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Diana was born at the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California, NBC reports.
The statement read in part:
“Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet.”
The statement further explained that her middle name, Diana, is given in honor of Prince Harry’s late mother, The Princess of Wales, who was killed in a car accident.
Diana joins Harry and Meghan’s firstborn son Archie, who is two years old.
