A middle-aged man was on Monday crushed to death by a hit-and-run driver on Onitsha-Awka Expressway.
The deceased was said to be crossing the busy road when he was knocked down by the driver who drove off.
The Nation gathered the deceased was confirmed dead at the hospital where he was rushed to.
Confirming the incident, Sector Public Education Officer, FRSC, Pascal Anigbo said the body has been deposited at the morgue.
He said the details of the vehicle were not taken.

He said, “At about 8.54am today Monday 16 March, 2020 a Road Traffic Crash was reported to have occurred at MCC along Onitsha-Awka Expressway.
“On getting to the scene, the FRSC rescue team from Onitsha Unit Command, found a middle-aged man lying helplessly on the ground.
“He was rushed to Toronto Hospital, where he was confirmed dead by doctors on duty. The body was deposited at the morgue, in the same hospital.
