Seun Kuti is showing us the activism spirit of his grandmother, Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti rests in him. Seun on his Instagram posted a letter sent to him requesting he halts the meeting tagged: Endsars Movement: Lessons and Tasks. Rapper Cardi B has apologized to the Hindu community after being accused of being “disrespectful” for depicting the Hindu goddess Durga on the cover of a magazine. In the photo, the “WAP” rapper held a sneaker as eight arms stretched out around her. However, this sparked criticism from the Hindu community, despite its original intention- to pay homage to the principal Hindu goddess of war, strength and protection.

Some critics said that it was additionally inappropriate to use her likeness for a shoe advertisement since worshippers remove their shoes before entering Hindu temples.

Amber Heard has condemned a petition to have her removed from the sequel of superhero film “Aquaman”. An online petition, which has received more than a million signatures accuses the actor of a “systematic crusade to ruin Depp in Hollywood”. This is coming after, her ex-husband, Johnny Depp revealed that he was asked to step back from his role in “Fantastic Beasts 3” after he lost the libel case against a UK tabloid for calling him a ‘wife-beater’. However, she calls it a bluff. In an interview, she explained that “Paid rumours and paid campaigns on social media don’t dictate [casting decisions] because they have no basis in reality.”

Britney Spears | Photo RCA Records

Britney Spears is “afraid of her father and will not perform again until he no longer has power over her career,” her attorney claimed during a court hearing. The 38-year-old desires to be free of her father James Spears who has conservatorship over her and her $60million fortune. James has been in charge for 12 years. His lawyer also argued that the disruption caused by his removal would do her the very harm the suspension is meant to prevent, as he helped her go debt-free. However, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny declined to suspend James Spears but mentioned that she will consider future petitions for his suspension or outright removal.
