Ludo game with images of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state has caused controversy on social media.

Twitter user with the handle @ayemojubar took to the microblogging site to post a pictures of Ludo game which has images of the governor.

Nigerians were taken aback by Governor Akeredolu’s images on the game and they soon flooded the comment section.

Twitter user with the handle @IamD_lantern wrote: “The greatest weapons of the Nigeria politician is Poverty and Illiteracy, well in this case where illiteracy can not hold waters, poverty is the main weapon.

“We must save this country from those who plan to keep the masses in poverty.”

Olufemi David with the Twitter handle @FullnessO said Nigerians would continue to be tools in the hands of politicians until they are able to earn decent salaries.

David tweeted: “I cannot agree less with you. This I have also stated times without numbers. Until our people are educated and can earn a living wage, we will continue to be tools in the hands of these politicians.”

In other news, as Ondo is set to elect their governor for the next four years and following the fire incident at the office of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the state House of Assembly has expressed confidence that the electoral umpire would conduct free and fair governorship election in the state on Oct. 10.

This was disclosed by Bamidele Oleyelogun, the assembly’s Speaker when he visited the gutted INEC office with members of the assembly.

According to him, INEC had been conducting successful elections in the state without being found wanting, adding that nobody could be blamed for the fire.
