Khan was quoted to have said in 2016 that he still feels dizzy as a result of the dazzling by the former Super Eagles creative midfielder.

While describing the goal scored by the Nigerian star, Klopp said it is why African players are always purchased by top European clubs.

He scored the most spectacular goal in the history of German football,” Klopp said in an interview with The Guardian.

It took like five minutes of Kahn and his defenders diving on the floor before he put the ball in the net!”

Some of the world’s best players have been from Africa. George Weah. Didier Drogba. Yaya Touré. In their generation they were some of the best players so why should we not sign them? It’s great.”

The Reds boss admitted that he has since been fascinated by Africa ever since watching Okocha’s former Frankfurt Ghanaian teammate Anthony Yeboah.

“Yeboah was one of the greatest strikers who played in Germany apart from Gerd Müller. He had a big impact on society.”

Legit.ng earlier reported that ex-Liverpool defender Jim Beglin has named Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha as his best ever Nigerian player.

The 56-year-old who spent six seasons with the Merseyside outfit made this known during his Q&A session on Twitter tagged #ASKJimBeglin.

Though he never had the chance to play against the Super Eagles legend, the ex-attacker’s quality display of skills and good control of the ball must have motivated his decision.
