46′ City get us back underway for the second half!
City’s decision making in the final third let them down in the first half and Guardiola won’t be happy with what he saw. They’ve barely troubled Guaita and he will want that to change. As for Palace, they’ve looked dangerous when they have got into City’s box and Hodgson will be hoping for more of the same after the break.
It’s goalless at the break between Palace and City. It’s been a game of few clear cut chances so far, with Palace having the better of them. Benteke came the closest when he had a go from close range, but Ederson smothered it at the near post. Jesus did have the ball in the back of the net at the other end but was denied by the offside flag and the visitors didn’t manage a shot on target.

30′ Eze’s free-kick is knocked back across goal by Dann at the far post and Benteke holds off Ake to chest it down. There’s no space for him or Zaha to have a shot so he tees up Riedewald, but he sends it flying high over the bar.

18′ CHANCE! It’s a great ball over the top from Cancelo to pick out Sterling’s run into the box and he manages to weave his way past Palace’s defenders. He sets himself for the shot and Mitchell makes an important tackle to stop him from getting it away.
16′ Palace have everyone back in their own half and they’re making it difficult for City to get in behind them. Torres holds onto the ball for a long time before trying to pick out Aguero’s run, but plays the pass straight to Kouyate.

2′ Kouyate goes long with his clearance and it ends up being a good ball for Benteke to knock down for Eze down the left. He tries to pick out Zaha ahead of him, but City quickly get back to close him down.
1′ Eze gets the game underway for Palace!
The teams are out on the pitch now, with kick-off just moments away.
Palace have won just two of their 23 Premier League games against sides at the top of the table (D4 L17), with both of those victories coming against Chelsea (March 2014 and April 2017). The Eagles lost their last such match 7-0 at home to Liverpool in December.
It’s clear that Pep Guardiola has one eye on the semi-final with PSG on Tuesday as he makes eight changes to the side that started in the first leg. Only Ederson, Cancelo and Rodri retain their places, and Aguero and Jesus are both brought in to start up front.
Roy Hodgson makes two changes to the side that lost to Leicester City on Monday as he brings Mitchell and Townsend into the starting line-up. Van Aanholt and Ayew both drop to the bench.

This is the weekend that City could be crowned as Premier League champions if they win today and Manchester United lose to Liverpool tomorrow. They’ve won their last three on the bounce, which included them lifting the EFL Cup after beating Tottenham and a win over Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final last time out. They face a Palace side that have won just one of their last seven matches, failing to win in any of their previous three (D1 L2).
