46′ We’re back underway at Allianz Arena.

The home side have lacked potency in the final third. Their best openings have fallen away from Robert Lewandowski, while Kingsley Coman along with Jamal Musiala failed to hit the target with their efforts. Hansi Flick’s men will not panic, but Bremen have shown an appetite for a battle this afternoon.

Werder Bremen lead Bayern Munich at the break at Allianz Arena in their Bundesliga clash. Maximilian Eggestein’s strike just before the break has handed Florian Kohfeldt’s men a slender advantage and something to hold on to. The visitors have been resilient at the back and dangerous on the counter. Bayern have lacked their usual cutting edge and their injury problems have left them exposed at the back.

26′ Coman tries to twist and turn his way through the Bremen defence, but he is stopped in his tracks by a solid challenge from Toprak.

24′ CHANCE! Bittencourt has to hit the target! Rashica surges down the left flank and floats a cross to the back post for his team-mate. Bittencourt has space and time to connect with his volley. However, he sends his effort into the ground and wide of the right post.

21′ Muller tries to send Coman down the right flank, but the Frenchman moves too soon and is caught offside. The home side are struggling for rhythm.

20′ Bremen are playing the better football at the moment and Bayern are struggling to react in the middle of the park.

Bayern München

19′ Hernandez makes way for Goretzka, which will see Alaba slide to left-back and Martinez move back into the defence. Goretzka will sit in front of the back four.

5′ Costa surges down the left flank and whips a dangerous cross into the box that Friedl has to produce a diving header to clear behind.

3′ Costa collects a ball down the left inside channel from Muller, but he clips his cross over the head of Lewandowski and out for a goal-kick.

1′ We’re underway at Allianz Arena.

Bayern are unbeaten in 27 competitive meetings with Bremen (W24, D3, aggregate scoreline: 84-17). They’ve won all of the last 22 games against Werder – the longest ongoing winning run in a single fixture in German professional football since the Bundesliga was founded in 1963. Werder’s last win against FCB came in Munich in September 2008 (5-2).

Bremen have made two changes to their side that drew against Koln in their last outing. Augstinsson comes back into the side at left-back to replace Moisander, while Mohwald shifts into the middle of the park as Mbom drops to the bench. Sargent continues to lead the line supported by Bittencourt and Rashica.

Bayern have made four changes to their side from their win over Dortmund last time out. Musiala is handed his full Bundesliga debut, starting in a four-man attacking midfield alongside Muller, Coman and Costa. The Brazilian also comes into the fold along with Pavard and Martinez. Sane and Gnabry drop to the bench, while Joshua Kimmich is out with a knee injury.

BREMEN SUBS: Stefanos Kapino, Yuya Osako, Davie Selke, Felix Agu, Niklas Moisander, Tahith Chong, Julian Rieckmann, Jean-Manuel Mbom, Nick Woltemade.

Bremen are unbeaten since the opening week of the campaign in the Bundesliga, although only two of those results have been victories. Florian Kohfeldt’s side have drawn their last four matches, including their 1-1 draw against Koln last time out. A flawless performance is required from Die Grun-Weissen this afternoon to overcome the league leaders.

Bayern were in formidable form before the international break, winning their last 10 matches on the bounce in all competitions. Hansi Flick’s men produced a fine performance to defeat Borussia Dortmund on the road to claim top spot in the Bundesliga. Since being stunned by Hoffenheim in week two of the game, Bayern have been at their imperious best and will be lining up another triumph this afternoon.

Good afternoon and welcome to the live commentary of the Bundesliga clash between Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen at Allianz Arena.
