Barcelona captain Lionel Messi has taken his charity gesture to a higher level after putting smiles on the faces of 12 individuals.

The 33-year-old recently gifted a ten-year-old young Arsenal fan a pair of high-tech £4,200 glasses which is capable of allowing him to identify people and also read texts.

A video of the six-time Ballon d’Or winner has now surfaced online as he presents the high-quality device to help their vision.

The Argentine forward was seen in the video helping the visually-impaired individuals of different ages and gender fix their machines.

He also helped some of them read while giving one of the recipients a hug after recognising him on wearing the device.

He said: “I was excited to meet 12 inspiring blind and visually impaired individuals when they used OrCam MyEye for the first time to read a book, recognize the faces of their beloved ones, identify products, and more.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Lionel Messi appears to have moved on from his transfer saga with Barcelona after gifting a visually-impaired young Arsenal fan a pair of high-tech £4,200 glasses.

The 33-year-old Argentine superstar shows he has more to offer on the pitch as well as off it after teaming up with Israeli company OrCam to help visually-impaired people around the world.

Reports reveal that the tech company has developed ‘MyEye device’ to help people in that category read texts and identify faces.

SunSport reported that the six-time Ballon d’Or winner has now decided to annually gift young people with inspirational stories the £4,200 device.
