Lazaro ‘very happy’ at Inter, but…
Valentino Lazaro declares he is “very happy” at Inter, despite fresh speculation that he could be replaced by Matteo Darmian in January.
Lazaro only joined Inter from Hertha Berlin over the summer and made his Serie A debut on Sunday, helping Inter beat Sassuolo 4-3.
“For me, moving to Italy was a big change,” he told Sky Sport Austria.
“I wanted a new challenge and I’m very happy. Milan’s a great city and I have so much fun in my free time.
“I’m working with confidence to earn a starting place and stay here for a long time.
“I must always train to the maximum and take advantage of the opportunities given to me.
“Conte’s the best Coach I’ve ever had. He takes care of every detail, especially tactics.
“He gives everything for the team and to win.”
However, his performance against Sassuolo was ravaged by sections of the Italian Press.
In his 22 minutes on the pitch, the right-sider lost four of his 14 balls – one of which led to a Sassuolo goal – was booked and failed to win any of his five one-on-ones.
According to Tuttosport, Antonio Conte will give the 23-year-old until the Christmas holidays to prove himself in a Nerazzurri jersey.
Failing that, the newspaper writes the Beneamata will target Darmian when the transfer window reopens this winter.
The Italian has been an instant hit for Parma since arriving from Manchester United last month and already worked with the Coach in the Italy set-up.
