Edouard Mendy and Ben Chilwell will be available to start against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.

Frank Lampard has revealed that Mendy is now ready to make his debut for the Blues in the 4th Round of the EFL Cup.

On the other hand, Chilwell will also make his second appearance in the competition after being left on the bench in the Premier League fixture against West Brom.

However, Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisisc will not be making the squad as they continue their recoveries from their respective injuries.

Lampard was asked if Kepa Arrizabalaga has played his last game for the Chelsea, the English boss said:

“No I won’t go to that point. It’s been a hard time for him. Kepa is a young man and a lot of the spotlight has been unfair.”

Chelsea will be hoping to qualify into the next round at the expense of his former boss’ side Jose Mourinho when they clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Lampard was asked if his team would be favourites against London rivals Spurs and he said:

“I know it is a busy time for Spurs, they have had a busy week. But I know the squad they have, they still have a fantastic squad. Any team they put out will be very strong.”

The Blues wrestled back from 3-0 down to rescue a point against newly-promoted West Brom at the Hawthorns last weekend.

And Lampard has hailed his team’s fighting spirit and character displayed in the second half of the match against the Baggies.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Marcos Alonso was reportedly tongue-lashed in front of his teammates by Frank Lampard following Chelsea’s draw against West Brom.

The Blues were 3-0 down after just 30 minutes and the Spanish left-back was responsible for two of the goals scored by the newly-promoted side.

Alonso’s misjudged header led to Callum Robinson’s first goal in the third minute while he left Kyle Bartley unmarked for the Baggies’ third goal.
