Real Sociedad youngster has rated Lionel Messi as the best player of all time ahead of their Spanish Super Cup encounter this midweek.

The six-time Ballon d’Or winner seems to have found his scoring ability back having already scored four goals in just two appearances so far in 2021.

And the 19-year-old says anyone who rules the 33-year-old Argentine out will be doing that at their own risk as reported by Marca.

Messi has suddenly risen to the top of the Spanish League goals scorers chart with 11 goals and two assists after 17 matches despite starting the season on a poor note.

“To be able to play a Supercopa, after having always seen it on TV, is a blessing for me. We’ve earned it with our work and we’re going to enjoy it and compete in it. Barcelona? It is a game, we will go out to win as always, knowing that they are a great team.

“I think it’s a joke that they say Messi is finished, it’s absurd. He is the best player of all time and he can decide a match at any time.

“Let’s hope that it won’t be on Wednesday. Let’s play a great game and get to the final.”

The youngster has scored twice in 16 Spanish League matches this campaign.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Lionel Messi’s future at Barcelona remains unclear despite having less than six months to the expiration of his current deal.

The 33-year-old tried forcing a move away from the Catalan club last summer but later made a U-turn and decided to see out his contract.

Five months down the lane, the Argentine has not revealed where he will be playing next season having stalled on signing a new Barca deal.
