Eric Bailly will miss some crucial Manchester United matches after the player suffered injury and he has been ruled out of action for at least another four weeks.

The Ivorian international will likely miss the Red Devils’ crucial matches against RB Leipzig, Arsenal, Basaksehir and Everton.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed the status but assured that the defender will return to action soon.

Solskjaer said, as quoted as SunSport:

“Eric has a muscle injury, we think maybe three or four weeks, maybe after the international break he’ll be back.”

The 26-year-old arrived the Old Trafford club from Villarreal in 2016, but his spell with the Red Devils have been plagued by injury spells.

He has been out of action for over 300 days in total due to injuries to his knee and ankle.

Solskjaer has however excluded the duo of Phil Jones and Sergio Romero from the 25-man squad for this Premier League season.

Both players appear to be surplus to requirement and were told to look for other clubs but failed to secure moves away from Old Trafford.

It would be recalled that the players were also left out of the club’s Champions League squad despite their experiences at the club.

Jones signed a new four-year deal in February 2019 but he has not featured for United since their 6-1 victory over Tranmere seven months ago.

Lee Grant, Dean Henderson and David de Gea are the preferred keepers by Solskjaer ahead of the Argentine.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Manchester United overcame French club Paris Saint Germain in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night, October 20 following a 2-1 victory.

United have now won 10 consecutive away games, a record the Red Devils are setting for the first time in their history under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Goals by Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford were enough to hand Solskjaer’s men over the Ligue 1 champions. And now United have won all their last ten away matches staring from their June 27 FA Cup win over Norwich City.
