Real Madrid managed a 1-0 win away from home as they defeated Sevila right at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium in their Match Day 12 of the La Liga season.

Los Blancos began asking questions as early as the 5th minute when Casemiro had a long range effort with a right footed strike which drifted wide as Benzema almost capataised on a goalkeeper Bounou error.

Both teams did so much to contain eachother in the first half and the visitors came close yet again the 36th minute following a save from Bounou as he got a hand to a fine Benzema strike that was destined to nestle in the corner of the Sevilla net.

The promising encounter saw both sides go into the break 0-0, but it there was much pressure on coach Zinedine Zidane to ensure his side gets all three points.

But the second half started brightly for the home side as Madrid was pressed back as De Jong produced a spectacular over-head effort which is straight at Courtois.

Great skills from the Dutch striker and his shot just failed direction as it was easy for the Belgian stopper to deal with.

Real Madrid eventually opened the scoring in the 56th minute following a lovely move by Benzema who laid it off to Mendy, who ran down the left and crossed low, and Vinicius sprinted to beat his man and slid the ball past Bounou; 0-1.

Complacent from the returning goalkeeper as it was adjudged to be an own goal.

Sevilla’s best chance of the afternoon came in the 76th minute after Casemiro fouled a player on the edge of the box and was lucky to avoid a card.

Suso took charge of the ball, beat two of his markers before he right footed and the ball drifted inches wide.

After much efforts by the hosts, it was the visitors that ran away with all three points as it ended; Sevilla 0-1 Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Barcelona have commenced the process of immortalising their captain Lionel Messi after unveiling his statue at the club’s wax museum.

The 33-year-old has spent his entire senior career at the Nou Camp and could walk out of the team at the end of this season.

As it stands, it is unsure where the future of the six-time Ballon d’Or winner lies with Manchester City, Paris Saint Germain, and a few other clubs showing interest in him.
