Edinson Cavani will not be leaving Old Trafford as stated earlier in the season as the Uruguayan striker has signed a new one-year deal with Man United, Daily Star, Twitter.
The 34-year-old striker signed joined United as a free agent during the January transfer window, signing a year deal.
And the former Paris Saint-Germain striker has proven his worth under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season scoring 15 goals.

The ex-Napoli star was on target for United during their 3-1 win over Aston Villa to help his team maintain second position on the Premier League table.
The experienced forward has been linked with move to Argentine side Boca Juniors after his father said the striker was unhappy at Old Trafford back in March.
But all the speculation have been put to bed now as transfer expert Fabrizio Romano posted on Twitter:

“Edinson Cavani has signed his contract extension with Manchester United, here we go!
“The agreement has been completed, Cavani has accepted to stay after Man Utd board and Solskjaer were pushing to keep him.”
Cavani helped United qualify for the Europa League final after scoring in both semi final fixtures against Roma.
And Solskjaer will be looking to unleash the Uruguayan in the final against La Liga club Villarreal in a few weeks time.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Paul Pogba could finally leave Manchester United at the end of the season, according to reports in Italy, cited on Mirror.
The France international’s contract at Old Trafford is set to expire in the summer of 2022 and it has been suggested that United should sell rather than keep him till next season.
According to Italian news publication Tuttosport, Pogba’s romance at the Theatre of Dreams will be favourable to both club and player.
The 28-year-old has been linked away from United on several occasions since making a mouth-watering £89million move in 2016.
