The United States’ president-elect, Joe Biden, has reacted to the impeachment of the outgoing president, Donald Trump.
Trump was on Wednesday, January 13, impeached for the second time after he incited his followers to attack the Capitol in an effort to stop the certification of Biden’s presidential election win.
Reacting on Wednesday, January 14, Biden noted that after Trump’s impeachment by the House of Representatives, the process of removing him from office will continue at the Senate.
Joe Biden hopes Senate will act on Trump’s removal after his second impeachment by House of Representatives.

The incoming US president expressed hope that the Senate will complete the process of convicting and removing Trump while it also works on other ” urgent business of this nation”.

Similarly, President Trump has spoken after his second impeachment by the United States’ House of Reps.
The US president, however, ignored his impeachment in the speech as he focused only on the violence at the US Capitol.
Trump said he condemned the violence, adding that such an incident does not have a place in the US and in his political movement.

Meanwhile, with the second impeachment of President Trump, many people have taken to social media to react to the development.
In some of the comments sighted by Bioreports, the impeachment was met with diverse reactions from Americans and people from other nations as well.
While some people are openly jubilating the stain on the president’s legacy, others are not happy that Trump was made to hold such an embarrassing record of being the only president in the history of America to get himself impeached twice.
