Inter try again for Lukaku

Inter are ready to make another new offer for Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku, as Paulo Dybala keeps Juventus waiting.

According to the Corriere della Sera newspaper, the Nerazzurri will have one last-ditch bid on Monday, assuming Juve haven’t been able to seal the deal by then.

While Juventus are proposing an exchange with Dybala, the Argentina international is still unsure of the move and trying to postpone a decision until he has met with Coach Maurizio Sarri.

His agents are also reportedly asking for €15m commission, on top of a salary worth €12m plus bonuses per year.

Inter had declared their most recent offer of €60m plus bonuses was “right” for Lukaku’s market value and there would be no increase.

However, with problems trying to purchase Edin Dzeko from Roma, Edinson Cavani of PSG and Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata, they are going back to Plan A.

The Corriere della Sera claims Inter will bid €70m plus bonuses, which should take them to €80m.

Their greatest hope now is that Dybala makes it clear he doesn’t want to join Manchester United, allowing them a way back into the running for Lukaku.

Juventus and Manchester United are also discussing Mario Mandzukic, although that is believed to be a separate negotiation entirely worth €10-15m.
