POLICE in Lagos on Wednesday arrested an inspector and two other persons in his vehicle for violating the stay-at-home order by President Muhammadu Buhari as a measure to check spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
The police command said the officer, who was not on duty, was going about his private business in outright disregard of the movement restriction.
The police also refuted allegations by the Lagos chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) that medical workers and support staff were being harassed or restricted by policemen enforcing the lockdown order.
