Incredible superyachts and their amazing features

When the super-rich take to the open sea, they do it in jaw-dropping style.

They climb aboard outrageous superyachts with eye-popping features.

Here we present five incredible examples, which are available to either charter or buy through SuperYachtsMonaco or CharterWorld. There’s one with a semi-submerged ‘Nemo room’, one with an outdoor cinema, one with a huge slide and another that comes with a mini-submarine. Scroll down and feast your eyes on these millionaire maritime marvels.

One of the boat’s zany bathrooms. She can accommodate 11 in total overnight

The 160ft Khalilah is instantly recognisable thanks to her sweeping carbon-composite curves and high-gloss finish.

Inside, she’s a dream.

She has stained oak floors, pop art from the owner’s collection on the walls, a main deck salon with floor-to-ceiling windows, a birchwood bar and glass doors leading out on to a covered dining area with a bespoke cactus-wood dining table for 10.

The bedrooms are quite something and include an owner’s suite and a VIP suite with ensuite bathrooms and full-length picture windows.

And toys-wise? It comes with a jet pack, hoverboard, wakeboard, jet skis, kayaks, paddleboards and it has an eye-catching stairway that extends out over the water.

SuperYachtsMonaco founder Jim Evans says: ‘The stairs, or passerelle as we call it, is mainly used to reach the main deck from the dock. However, it is definitely a fun and multipurpose feature: it can be used as a diving platform, a reading corner or as the perfect spot to meditate. Nowadays, we are seeing more and more clients who want to be closer to the sea and truly enjoy being able to easily get into the water.’

Khalilah sleeps 11.

Aurelia – from 105,000 euros (£95,000/$115,000) per week

Aurelia comes with a huge slide that crew inflate using pressurised air onboard

Aurelia’s owner has a passion for sport and race cars – and her paint scheme and interior design reflects this

SuperYachtsMonaco says of Aurelia: ‘Timeless styling, beautiful furnishings and sumptuous seating feature throughout to create an elegant and comfortable atmosphere’

Aurelia’s owner has a passion for sport and race cars – and her paint scheme and interior design reflects this.

She can sleep up to eight guests in four rooms and has capacity for six crew and bedroom names are drawn from the world of sports car design –Bertone, Pininfarina and Zagato.

Monaco-based SuperYachtsMonaco says: ‘Timeless styling, beautiful furnishings and sumptuous seating feature throughout to create an elegant and comfortable atmosphere.’

The fun factor is high too, thanks to the boat’s huge slide, which carries guests from the top deck into the sea.

Jim says: ‘The slide does, of course, come with the yacht and it is a very popular toy: both adults and children love it. The crew has pressurised air on board that they use to inflate it. It doesn’t take long at all and then the slide is ready to use.’

Saluzi – from 480,000 euros (£435,000/$529,000) per week

Saluzi turns the entertainment factor up to 11. For starters it has an open-air cinema (pictured)

There’s a karaoke bar loaded with thousands of songs. And hopefully the collection includes a few sea shanties

Jim Evans from SuperYachtsMonaco says that Saluzi is a ‘state-of-the-art charter yacht’

Saluzi can accommodate up to 32 guests onboard overnight in 16 glamorous suites. Pictured is the sea pool, which can be set up by the crew

Saluzi is entertainment-central.

This 226ft boat has games tables for an onboard casino experience, a karaoke bar loaded with thousands of songs, a chic outdoor bar, twin hot tubs and a huge open-air cinema.

Plus, it comes with a gigantic swim platform.

Jim says: ‘Saluzi is an absolute state-of-the-art charter yacht with some breath-taking features like the cinema, the karaoke lounge and the pool in the sea.

‘The cinema is simply perfect to entertain children with their favourite cartoons, but it is also loved by couples who can enjoy a movie under the stars… nothing more romantic than that.

‘The karaoke lounge is a fun addition to add some sparkle on an occasional rainy evening and can lead up to some priceless memories.

‘Last but not least, the beautiful pool in the sea can be set up by the crew and it works wonderfully at protecting the guests from jellyfish and at making sure kids stay safe and do not swim too far away.’

Saluzi can accommodate up to 32 guests onboard overnight in 16 glamorous suites.

Savannah – from 1,000,000 euros (£900,000/$1,096,000) per week

Savannah’s piece de resistance is a fabulous underwater lounge – the ‘Nemo room’ (pictured)

Pictured here is one of Savannah’s bedrooms. And you can see, it’s a boat that has been ‘designed without compromise’

Savannah was Motor Yacht of the Year at the 2016 World Superyacht Awards

That’ll do: As superyacht living rooms go, Savannah’s isn’t too shabby

Savannah has a nine-metre swimming pool, a gym, a spa and a 24-strong crew that includes a masseuse and a beautician

Savannah, says SuperYachtsMonaco, was ‘designed without compromise’ and ‘represents a new generation of superyachts’.

It is, in summary, the firm says, a ‘one-of-a-kind charter experience’.

And so it should be, given that it was Motor Yacht of the Year at the 2016 World Superyacht Awards.

The piece de resistance is a fabulous underwater lounge – the ‘Nemo room’.

It features windows that dip below the surface of the water, with stadium-style seating arranged around them.

This area can also be transformed into a cinema.

Jim says: ‘One of Savannah’s most-loved features is the Nemo lounge. Clients love feeling close to the sea and the Nemo room gives guests the possibility to observe the aquatic fauna passing by while relaxing on one of the sofas in the room.’

And there’s more.

Savannah also has a nine-metre swimming pool, a gym, a spa and a 24-strong crew that includes a masseuse and a beautician. It can accommodate 12 people overnight in six ensuite staterooms.

Sofia – on sale for 16,000,000 euros (£14,000,000/$17,000,000)

Sofia comes with a particularly thrilling toy – a three-man submarine (pictured)

A ‘dramatic’ oval staircase links Sofia’s four decks ‘creating a fluid sense of motion as you move around the yacht’. There’s a sleek elevator as well (pictured)

Sofia ‘combines the luxury of a superyacht with the tools and features of an expedition vessel’

This superyacht comes with a particularly thrilling toy – a three-man submarine.

So she has a sense of adventure. But she’s luxurious too.

A ‘dramatic’ oval staircase links her four decks ‘creating a fluid sense of motion as you move around the yacht’. There’s a sleek elevator as well.

Five opulent staterooms, meanwhile, accommodate up to 10 guests and they can relax with drinks at a curved bar made from concetto stone before eating in an elegant dining area overlooking the ocean.

‘Part of a new trend of explorer yachts,’ says Jim, ‘Sofia pushes boundaries in terms of size.

‘Despite carrying a three-seater submarine, Sofia is agile and sleek, combining the luxury of a superyacht with the tools and features of an expedition vessel.’
