Nollywood actress, Ada Ameh has shared her thoughts on the feminism movement. In a recent interview with The Nation, the talented actress described herself as a feminist and spoke on how it affects relationships.

She, however, added that this does not mean she doesn’t want to have a man of her own. She went on to add that being a feminist doesn’t mean one shouldn’t submit to their partner as that is the Christian thing to do.
“I am a feminist but I am not that type of woman that would not love to have a man. Being a feminist doesn’t mean that there shouldn’t be a man. As a Christian, submitting yourself to your man doesn’t make you a fool,” she said.

The Benue-born actress who had her first child as a teenager, says she has no regrets about it.
Her words: “I can never regret having my child at 14. God forbid! The truth is that the ways of God are so different from the ways of man.
Just imagine me at this age if I am not married and don’t have a child. I am not saying marriage is the ultimate but we both know what I am talking about.”

Meanwhile, Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Genevieve Nnaji, recently caused a buzz on social media following her statement about feminism.
In a quote shared by The Guardian, Nnaji said feminism is human rights to her. According to the award-winning actress, she has the right to do whatever she wants to do – the same way a man exercises his rights.
Also, Nigerian pastor, Kingsley Okonkwo, has joined the feminism movement conversation and from the look of it, he is clearly not in support of gender equality.
Starting off the conversation by saying the way boys are raised is very different from girls as the boys need more direction, he went on to say male and female are not the same, claiming this is backed by scripture, science and statistics.
