It is indeed a time of joy and celebration for Nigerians of Yoruba descent all across the world, especially, those who hail from, Ile-Ife, Osun state, following the birth of an heir.

Legit.ng earlier reported that the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, shared the news that his wife, Olori Naomi Silekunola, welcomed a new bouncing baby boy.

As expected, the good news has left indigenes Ile-Ife ina joyous mood as many of them have been waiting for a prince since the king ascended the throne back in 2017.

It is important to note that his marriage of 17-months to Edo princess, Wuraola Obanor, did not bring forth any child before they parted ways.

However, almost two years after getting married to his current wife, the couple have finally made the people happy with the birth of their son.

Videos making the rounds on social media captured excited indigenes dancing and singing praises with the palace premises.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that palace sources made the revelation that the Ooni of Ife cannot set eyes on his newborn baby or wife at any time soon.

The sources explained that longstanding tradition forbids it and the monarch will only be allowed to reunite with his family when the boy’s hair has been caught, and this could take about six months.
