Regardless of how much criticisms DJ Cuppy gets for her music, she has remained undeterred in chasing her passion for music.

The Jollof On The Jet crooner who some months ago announced she was going to be dropping her debut album, is a few days away from sharing with the world her first body of work.

In a recent post shared to her Instagram page, she announced that she will be dropping the 12-song album, Original Copy, on August 21.

On how she feels about the album, Cuppy had this to say: “I’m super excited about the album. It feels like I’ve been waiting for a long time. And I just hope people take the time to listen to every single one of the 12 songs.

“I worked my a*s off for the Original Copy. And I think it’s time for people to give me a real chance as a creative, as an artist, as a self-made woman. I think it’s time and I’m ready.”
