The Nigerian entertainment industry is a very competitive one but it also appears to be lucrative for many. A number of talented artistes have been able to cash out big from the industry and this is quite evident with their wealthy displays on social media.

Many times, these successful stars look back at their journey and speak on how much things have changed for them.

Just recently, popular rapper, Yung6ix, took to social media via his verified Twitter page to explain how much things have changed for him in the industry in just a few years.

The rapper shared an old video of himself with an interviewer whom he claimed later wrote an article on why he should not be paid one million for a verse. Yung6ix claimed he considered the interviewer a friend at the time.

Explaining further, Yung6ix used the opportunity to brag about his achievements. He said that he now collects $15,000 (N5.7m) for a verse.

He wrote: “This hit differently, can’t remember doing this interview but few years ago this same interviewer wrote a full article of why I shouldn’t be paid 1 million for a verse, so disappointed I may have considered him a friend at that time. Anyways it’s $15,000 dollars for a 16 now.”
