The husband of the Gretna Green bride who died after she was found with severe injuries has been charged with her murder.

Lucy Dyson, 30, was found with ‘multiple injuries’ at her home in Andover, Hampshire, at around 5.30am on Sunday and died a short time later.

Her husband, Shane Dyson, 28, has been charged with her murder and will appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

Mourners yesterday laid bunches of flowers outside the house where Lucy was found in Suffolk Road, two miles away from Dyson’s address.

Neighbours said they often saw ‘kind’ Lucy, also known as Lucy-Anne Rushton, passing by with her two children.

One neighbour, who did not want to be named, said: ‘I have only lived here for a month, and have met Lucy just once. It was very brief, while I was walking past we house with the buggy.

‘She was very kind and we chatted a little because I had my kids with me and she mentioned she had young children.’

A teenage girl living opposite Lucy’s terraced home said she was woken up by screaming on Sunday, and spotted police cars outside her property.

She added: ‘I was woken up about 6am yesterday by someone screaming. It was a woman in the road outside the lady’s house.

‘I looked out of my bedroom window and saw the police out there, so I just sat in the window and watched.

‘Then another woman came out. She said “you need to be quiet now”, and then they just started fighting.

‘They were physically fighting in the street – hitting each other. The police got involved then, and I couldn’t see what happened next.’
