Nonkululeko Sibiya is a proud single mother who shared her story to the #ImStaying group on Facebook. According to Nonkululeko, her son was a couple of hours old when his father left them to pay lobola for another woman.
Nonkululeko was in pain. She said she felt hurt, humiliated, and embarrassed. She added that it was one of the hardest situations she has ever experienced in her life and it made her doubt whether or not ‘true love’ is real.
She went on to say that she does not look at relationships the same way she did before. Due to the stress and hurt, she felt as though she would die. Instead of letting the feelings take over, she picked herself up and accepted the situation, all because of her son.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported on a proud graduate who thanked his single dad with heartfelt appreciation post.
In a post that was shared in ImStaying, he shared pictures of himself and his dad – who had looked after him alone since he was a child – on the day of his graduation.
“I just wanna take this moment and tell the world that even with the help of one parent you can still make it. I’m grateful to God for my dad’s life. He has been so supportive ever since. Today I managed to make him the happiest father ever. For that, I’m staying,” he wrote in the Facebook post.
