Gulak’s death painful, must be probed further – Abe

Former Rivers South-East Senator, Magnus Abe has condoled with the family of Ahmed Gulak and the people of Adamawa State.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain was murdered in Imo.

Abe, in a statement described the death as shocking, most painful and a great loss to his relatives and the political class.

The former Rivers SSG said Gulak was a fine gentleman, and a consummate politician who created relationships across ethnic and party lines.

Abe advised security agencies to carry out further investigation in order to avoid speculations that will increase tension in the country.

“Our prayer is that God Almighty will grant the family the fortitude and strength to bear the irreparable loss”, he noted.

Gulak, a lawyer, held several positions including political adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan.
