Presse Ocean first broke the story of FC Nantes approaching Gattuso as a replacement for Vahid Halilhodzic, who resigned this week just days before the Ligue 1 season starts.
Now Sportitalia, L’Equipe and La Gazzetta dello Sport all confirm the offer of a two-year contract, but Gattuso seems to have rejected the proposal.
He is currently out of work after terminating his contract with Milan by mutual consent.
Gattuso took the Rossoneri to fifth place in Serie A.
